Devotees across Tamil Nadu are celebrating Sri Rama Navami, marking the birth of Lord Rama, with temples beautifully decorated and vibrant rituals taking place throughout the state.
In Chennai, the Ashok Nagar Anjaneya Temple and Nanganallur Anjaneya Temple witnessed large gatherings of devotees offering prayers and participating in special pujas. In Ramanathapuram, the Ramanathaswamy Temple was adorned with flowers and lights, drawing worshippers from nearby towns.
Famous Perumal temples in Sri Rangam, Kanchipuram, and Madurantakam also held ceremonial celebrations, with Sri Katha Ramar processions, recitations, and devotional music attracting devotees in large numbers. The festivities reflect the deep cultural and spiritual devotion prevalent across Tamil Nadu.
Temples reported that thousands of devotees thronged the sacred sites to participate in the rituals, emphasizing the enduring popularity of Sri Rama Navami celebrations in the region.
