The much-anticipated sci-fi film Project Hail Mary has emerged as a major box office success, collecting ₹17.28 crore during its extended opening weekend in India while surpassing $300 million globally within just 10 days of release.

Starring Ryan Gosling, the film has witnessed exceptional demand across premium formats like IMAX and 4DX, with shows in key cities selling out rapidly. In an unusual trend, theatres even introduced ultra-early screenings at 3:45 AM and 5:00 AM, many of which ran housefull, highlighting strong audience enthusiasm.

Released in India on March 26, the film recorded steady day-on-day growth, driven by positive word of mouth and repeat viewership. Its performance has outpaced several popular Hollywood sci-fi films in India, marking a standout debut in the genre.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film follows an astronaut on a high-stakes mission to save humanity, blending emotional storytelling with large-scale spectacle.

With strong global momentum, increasing screens, and sustained audience demand, Project Hail Mary is set for a long and successful theatrical run, positioning itself as one of the biggest Hollywood hits of the year in India.
