Chennai, April 1:
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Tuesday asserted that the DMK would emerge victorious in the April 23 Assembly elections, regardless of the opposition lined up against it.
Addressing a campaign rally in Pappireddipatti, he said the party would prove that the DMK and Chief Minister M. K. Stalin are the “real champions” in the political arena.
Accusing the AIADMK of attempting to facilitate the BJP’s entry into Tamil Nadu, he described the election as a contest between “Tamil Nadu, the soil of self-respect,” and what he termed the “Delhi team.”
Engaging with the crowd, Udhayanidhi asked whether they would prove that Tamil Nadu would remain beyond the control of Delhi and reject subservient politics. The audience responded with a resounding affirmation.
