Chennai,Ā Apr 6:
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Sunday strongly criticised AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, stating that he should be restrained for making remarks about late DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi.
Reacting to the āhouse arrestā allegation, Stalin dismissed the claim as false and offensive, asserting that Karunanidhi was a strong leader who could never have been confined by anyone.
He accused Palaniswami of indulging in baseless allegations for political mileage and lowering the standards of political discourse ahead of the Assembly elections, intensifying the ongoing war of words between the DMK and AIADMK.
