Chennai, Apr 8:
AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday took a swipe at the ruling DMK, questioning the electoral strength of its alliance despite having multiple parties.
Targeting Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, Mr. Palaniswami said that while the DMK boasts of a large alliance, it remains unclear where the actual votes are. He suggested that merely having several parties in a coalition does not necessarily translate into electoral success.
The AIADMK leader accused the DMK of relying on alliances to project strength, while lacking genuine grassroots support among the people. He also expressed confidence that the AIADMK-led front would perform strongly in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Palaniswami further alleged that the ruling party has failed to deliver on key promises, and claimed that public dissatisfaction against the government is growing. He maintained that the opposition alliance would convert this sentiment into votes at the ballot box.
