The team of Muthu Engira Kaattaan came together to celebrate the grand success of the series, which has garnered widespread appreciation from audiences since its release on Jio Hotstar on March 27.
Headlined by Vijay Sethupathi and helmed by director Manikandan, the series has struck a chord with viewers for its rooted storytelling and relatable characters. Within a short span, it has attracted significant viewership, emerging as one of the platform’s successful recent releases.
Speaking at the event, Vijay Sethupathi described the project as a deeply fulfilling experience. He noted that each character in the story carries its own depth and reflects real-life emotions, adding that the simplicity of everyday life portrayed in the series makes it special. He also credited the entire team for working like a close-knit family, which contributed to the project’s success.
Cinematographer Shanmuga Sundaram highlighted his long-standing collaboration with the actor and director, stating that their creative journey continues to evolve with each project. He emphasized that the strong understanding among the team members is visible in every frame of the series.
Another cinematographer, Madhu Neelakandan, shared that working on the project felt like being part of a family, with a warm and collaborative atmosphere on set. Artist Pallavi, who contributed to shaping Vijay Sethupathi’s character, described the opportunity as unique and memorable, particularly for exploring a different on-screen persona.
Actor Muthukumar expressed happiness over the positive reception to his role, while actor Vadivel Murugan called the opportunity a significant milestone in his career. Actress Parvathi noted that her character ‘Lalitha’ has transformed how audiences perceive her, marking an important phase in her acting journey.
