Chennai, Apr 11:

Rajinikanth has strongly condemned the online leak of Jana Nayagan, describing the incident as deeply distressing for the film industry and urging authorities to take stringent action against those responsible.
Reacting to the controversy, Rajinikanth said the leak had caused “shock and pain” to the entire film fraternity.

He called upon the government and concerned authorities to identify those behind the piracy and ensure that they face severe punishment.

The actor also emphasised that such incidents must not be allowed to recur, urging film bodies and stakeholders to collectively raise their voice against piracy and protect the interests of artists and technicians.

The leak of the highly anticipated film, starring Vijay, has triggered widespread outrage across the industry. Several leading actors and filmmakers have condemned the incident, calling it a serious threat to cinema and the livelihoods of those involved in filmmaking.

Reports indicate that key portions—and in some cases, the full film—surfaced online ahead of its release, dealing a major blow to the makers of the big-budget project.

The controversy has reignited concerns over piracy in the film industry, with calls growing louder for stricter enforcement and stronger legal measures to curb such offences.
