U.S. President Donald Trump described his 40-minute phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “very good,” highlighting continued warmth in India–US relations.

The leaders discussed key global issues, including security concerns in West Asia and the importance of keeping vital energy routes like the Strait of Hormuz open. The interaction reflects ongoing strategic coordination between the two nations amid evolving geopolitical challenges.

The conversation also underlined the personal rapport between the two leaders, with Trump referring to Modi as a “friend,” signalling continuity in diplomatic engagement.

The call is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen cooperation in areas such as trade, defence, and energy, even as both countries navigate shifting global dynamics.
