Director Vignesh Raja heaped praise on actor Dhanush during the pre-release event of their upcoming film Kara, describing the experience of collaborating with him as deeply enriching and educational.

Speaking at the grand event held in Chennai, Vignesh Raja said that working with Dhanush was akin to “studying in a big university,” highlighting the actor’s depth of knowledge, discipline, and creative insight.

The director, who rose to prominence with Por Thozhil, is now helming Kara, an action thriller that has generated significant buzz ahead of its release. The film’s pre-release event saw several members of the cast and crew come together, with many praising Dhanush’s dedication and craft.

Industry figures present at the event also lauded Dhanush for his professionalism and ability to elevate performances on set. The film, which features a strong ensemble cast, is set against the backdrop of the 1991 fuel crisis and promises an intense, character-driven narrative.

The event further amplified expectations surrounding Kara, with fans and film personalities expressing confidence that the film would be a major release upon hitting theatres later this month.

With strong pre-release buzz and glowing endorsements from its director and team, Kara is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the season.

Kara features Mamitha Baiju as Selli, Jayaram as Muthu Selvan, KS Ravikumar as Kandhasaami, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Bharathan, and Karunaas as Kasi Maayan, Sreeja Ravi as Dhanam, and Prithvi Pandiarajan as Murugesan. National Award winning actor, MS Bhaskar is also part of the film, with his character yet to be revealed.
