The weather across Tamil Nadu is expected to turn hotter over the next four days, with meteorological conditions indicating a gradual rise in temperatures across much of the State. A trough extending from Rayalaseema to the Kumari Sea region, passing through interior parts of Tamil Nadu, is currently influencing the prevailing weather pattern.
According to the latest forecast, light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds with speeds of 30â40 kmph is likely in isolated pockets till April 26. These conditions are expected to occur mostly in districts along the Western Ghats, southwest coastal regions, delta coastal belts, and Karaikal.
However, a majority of areas across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are likely to experience predominantly dry weather during this period.
Temperature trends indicate a noticeable increase, particularly in interior districts.
Till April 24, maximum temperatures are expected to remain above normal levels across the State, with interior regions likely to record a rise of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages. In contrast, coastal areas are expected to see temperatures hovering close to normal.
With heat conditions intensifying, residents have been advised to take necessary precautions, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours. Authorities continue to monitor the evolving weather situation as the State prepares for a warmer spell in the days ahead.
