Chennai, Apr 23:

Actor-politician Vijay, founder of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, cast his vote at a polling station in Chennai on Thursday as voting progressed across Tamil Nadu.

The actor, making his first electoral outing as a political leader, arrived at the booth amid tight security and participated in the democratic process, drawing attention from voters and supporters. His voting assumes significance as his party is contesting the Assembly elections independently across constituencies, marking a major political debut.

Visuals of Vijay casting his vote quickly gained traction, with crowds gathering in large numbers near the polling station. His participation comes at a time when his entry into politics has added a new dimension to the State’s traditionally bipolar contest.
