Chennai,  Apr 30:

Amid concerns over fuel availability, oil companies have clarified that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, stating that supplies remain stable and uninterrupted across all regions.

The assurance comes in response to apprehensions among the public regarding possible disruptions in fuel distribution.

According to the State Coordinator of oil companies, all fuel outlets are adequately stocked, and supply chains are functioning smoothly without any logistical hurdles.

Authorities emphasised that there has been no interruption in transportation or delivery of petrol and diesel, ensuring seamless access for consumers across urban and rural areas alike.

Officials have urged the public not to resort to panic buying or hoarding, warning that such actions could create unnecessary pressure on the system despite sufficient availability. They reiterated that the situation is under control and there is no need for concern.

In addition to petrol and diesel, the supply of domestic LPG cylinders has also remained steady. The waiting period for LPG refills has been reduced to less than five days, indicating improved distribution efficiency.

Auto LPG supply, too, continues without disruption, supported by close monitoring to maintain consistency.

The reassurances from oil companies aim to ease public anxiety and reinforce confidence in the state’s fuel supply network, even as demand remains steady.
