Actress Simran’s upcoming film has officially been titled Teacher, with the announcement made on Thursday alongside the release of a title teaser.
The title was unveiled by actor Vijay Sethupathi on social media, generating immediate interest among fans. The film is directed by Balu Sharma, who made his debut with Neetho (2022) and later helmed Unarvugal Thodarkadhai (2024), which is currently streaming on OTT platform Aha.
Simran, who will be seen in the lead role, was last seen alongside Sasikumar in Tourist Family (2025). With Teacher, she continues her streak of character-driven roles in her recent phase of work, taking on projects that focus on strong central performances.
The film is produced by Kasi Viswanathan under the Whitenights Entertainments banner, in association with Sameer Bharat Ram’s Super Talkies. Further details regarding the supporting cast, plot, and technical crew are expected to be announced soon.
