Chennai, May 5:
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol Thirumavalavan on Monday said the outcome of the 2026 Assembly elections reflects a growing public preference for a coalition form of governance in Tamil Nadu.
Reacting to the results, he noted that voters have delivered a verdict that underscores the importance of alliances and collective leadership rather than a single-party dominance. He added that the electorateâs decision indicates a desire for inclusive governance with representation from multiple political forces.
Thol Thirumavalavan further stated that despite attempts to create divisions, the alliance partners remained largely united during the elections. He emphasised that the coalitionâs resilience played a key role in shaping the final outcome.
He also observed that the results should be interpreted as a message from the people for political parties to work together in addressing public issues, signalling a shift in Tamil Naduâs political dynamics.
