New Delhi, May 16:
In a major breakthrough in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested P V Kulkarni, a chemistry professor identified as the alleged mastermind behind the leak.
According to investigators, Kulkarni was directly involved in the examination process on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which gave him access to the confidential question papers.
Authorities believe this insider access was exploited to leak the exam content, raising serious concerns about the integrity of one of India’s most competitive entrance tests.
The CBI has alleged that Kulkarni conducted special coaching sessions for select students, during which he dictated questions along with answer options. These questions reportedly matched exactly with the actual NEET-UG 2026 paper held on May 3, indicating a premeditated leak.
