Chennai, May 20:

Tamil Nadu recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.31 in the Class 10 SSLC board examinations this year, marking a slight increase from last year’s 93.80, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) announced on Wednesday.

Girls outperformed boys once again, securing a pass percentage of 96.47, while boys recorded 92.15. The consistent lead by girls reflects an ongoing trend in the State’s academic performance.

Among districts, Pudukkottai district emerged as the top performer with a pass percentage of 97.57. It was followed closely by Sivagangai district at 97.54, Thanjavur district at 97.41, Tiruchirappalli district at 97.31, and Kanyakumari district at 97.30.

The pass percentage among prison inmates stood at 95.68, while differently-abled students recorded 85.89, according to official data.
More than 9 lakh students had appeared for the examinations conducted between March and April across the State.

Students can access their provisional marksheets through official websites such as tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in.

To avoid heavy traffic, authorities have also advised students to use platforms like digilocker.gov.in and web.umang.gov.in for quicker access to results.
