Actress-producer Khushbu Sundar has revealed that actor Santhosh underwent professional training to prepare for his role in the upcoming romantic fantasy film Double Occupancy, directed by Aswin Kandasamy.
Speaking at the film’s pre-release event, Khushbu said Santhosh, who plays a bartender in the film, went the extra mile by completing a certified bartending course to ensure authenticity in his performance. She recalled knowing him since his school days and praised his dedication, noting that he had always been determined to become an actor and worked consistently towards that goal through rigorous training and discipline.
Santhosh, in turn, expressed gratitude to creative producer Anandita Sundar, describing her as his close friend who supported his dreams since school. He also thanked Khushbu for backing him as a lead actor, stating that her production house gave him the freedom to choose the story and trusted his vision.
Produced by Avni Films in collaboration with Benzz Media, the film explores themes of identity, duality and the intersection of science and faith. The cast includes Samyuktha Viswanathan, Reshma Venkatesh and Vinoth Kishan, along with supporting roles by VTV Ganesh and Bagavathi Perumal.
The film marks the directorial debut of Aswin Kandasamy, with music composed by Sam C. S., cinematography by Santhakumar Chakravarthy and editing by Praveen Antony.
