Ahmedabad, June 1:

In a shocking incident following the IPL 2026 final, the team bus of Gujarat Titans caught fire while leaving the stadium, triggering panic among players and staff. The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, with smoke quickly filling parts of the vehicle. Acting swiftly, team members were evacuated immediately, preventing what could have been a serious tragedy. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all players and support staff were confirmed safe after the incident.

The incident occurred shortly after Gujarat Titans’ defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final, adding to an already difficult night for the team. Players were briefly stranded on the roadside before alternative arrangements were made to transport them safely to their hotel. While the situation caused considerable alarm, prompt response from authorities ensured that it did not escalate further.
