Courtallam, June 9:

Emerging shuttlers from Hatsun Badminton Centre delivered a strong performance at the Tamil Nadu State Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026, securing a total of five medals including one gold, three silver and one bronze.

The highlight of the tournament was an all-Hatsun final in the Men’s Singles category, where J.T. Sachin defeated fellow academy player Lesslee Roy to win the gold medal. The centre also recorded strong results in doubles events, with J. Tanya Abigail and Reeva Evangelin securing silver medals in Women’s and Mixed Doubles respectively.

Srimeenakshi and Hashini S added to the tally with a bronze medal in Women’s Doubles, rounding off a successful campaign for the academy.

Hatsun Sports Academy officials said the results reflect consistent training and development, noting that the institution continues to produce competitive athletes at the state and national levels.
