Chennai, June 15:
Vijay and his wife Sangeetha’s divorce case has been adjourned once again by the Chengalpattu Family Welfare Court. The next hearing is scheduled for 7 August.
In her petition, Sangeetha has made a series of allegations against Vijay, claiming that he was involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress and that she was subjected to mental harassment. She has sought divorce, along with maintenance appropriate to his social status, and has also requested the right to reside in their Neelankarai home.
Earlier, the case had been postponed to April 20, during which neither Vijay nor Sangeetha appeared in person, with only their lawyers present. Considering their public stature and related security concerns, a request was made to allow their appearance via video conferencing.
When the case came up for hearing again today (June 15), it was adjourned once more, leaving the next course of proceedings awaited.
