Netflix has announced the premiere of its first Telugu original series, Super Subbu, set to stream from July 2.
Created and directed by Mallik Ram, the series stars Sundeep Kishan as Subramanyam “Subbu”, a young man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes a sex education officer in a rural village.
Blending humour with social themes, the show explores topics like consent, relationships and generational gaps through the lens of a quirky village setting. With a strong ensemble cast including Mithila Palkar, Murali Sharma and Brahmanandam, the series promises a mix of comedy and heartfelt storytelling.
Super Subbu aims to open up conversations around taboo subjects while delivering an entertaining and relatable narrative.
