Actor Vishnuu Vishal has revealed that the upcoming sequel Gatta Kusthi 2 will take a new narrative direction, shifting its focus from women-centric themes in the first part to exploring the male perspective in relationships.

Speaking ahead of the film’s July 3 release, the actor said the sequel is not intended to repeat the original storyline but instead aims to explore themes such as responsibility, power dynamics, and partnership within relationships.

Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the film continues the sports-comedy franchise that began with Gatta Kusthi. Vishnuu Vishal added that his character in the sequel will be a house husband, adding a fresh comedic and emotional layer to the story.

The film also features Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead role, along with returning cast members including Kaali Venkat, Munishkanth, and Karunas. New additions to the ensemble include Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Mokksha, and Zara Zyanna.

The sequel blends sports drama with domestic comedy and relationship conflicts, continuing the franchise’s mix of humour and social commentary while shifting its thematic focus.

The makers have also indicated that the film will retain the franchise’s signature humour while introducing a more layered emotional conflict between the central characters. The screenplay reportedly explores how everyday domestic roles and expectations shape identity within modern relationships.

With its July 3 release date, Gatta Kusthi 2 is expected to continue the franchise’s commercial appeal while offering a refreshed narrative angle, aiming to engage audiences with both entertainment and a new perspective on gender dynamics at home.
