Beglauru, June 20:
The Bharatiya Janata Party has summoned Karnataka state president B. Y. Vijayendra to Delhi following cross-voting allegations in the recent Legislative Council polls.
The move comes after the ruling Congress secured 5 of 7 seats, reportedly aided by cross-voting from BJP and JD(S) legislators, raising concerns within the party leadership.
The central leadership is said to be unhappy with the outcome and is seeking explanations from the state unit, with internal dissent and possible disciplinary action under review.
The development highlights growing tensions within the Karnataka BJP, as the party looks to address organisational issues ahead of upcoming political battles.
