Chennai, June 22:

The Tamil Nadu Police Museum is set to host a special free food festival on June 26, offering visitors a unique blend of culture, heritage, and cuisine. The event will take place from 5 PM to 10 PM and is open to the public at no cost, making it an attractive outing for families, students, and tourists.

Located in the historic former Chennai Police Commissioner’s office building in Egmore, the museum has become a popular destination since its inauguration in September 2021. It showcases a wide range of exhibits, including police uniforms, medals, vintage vehicles, weapons, and even police dog units, highlighting the evolution of policing in Tamil Nadu.

As part of efforts to draw more visitors, authorities have planned the food festival featuring traditional Tamil Nadu dishes and regional delicacies. The event is expected to create a festive atmosphere, combining culinary experiences with an educational visit to the museum.

Officials noted that the museum has already attracted nearly 1.94 lakh visitors, and the upcoming festival is expected to further boost footfall. With free entry to both the museum and the food festival, the event stands out as one of the most engaging cultural happenings in Chennai this month.
