Actor Vishnu Vishal has offered a candid response to reactions surrounding his role in Gatta Kusthi 2, questioning societal perceptions about men taking on domestic roles.
Speaking ahead of the film’s release on July 3, he said there is nothing wrong in being a “house husband,” adding that he would gladly support his wife just as she supports the family.
The sequel to the 2022 hit Gatta Kusthi, directed by Chella Ayyavu, continues with Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles.
The actor revealed that while the first part showcased his wife as a wrestler, the second part highlights a husband who takes on household responsibilities to support his strong and intelligent partner. He added that the film has been made with confidence and promises an engaging experience for audiences.
Vishnu Vishal also shared that he had long wanted to be part of sequels for his earlier films, and Gatta Kusthi 2 has fulfilled that wish.
Expressing his love for comedy, he said it remains one of the most challenging yet enjoyable genres, and he aims to deliver at least one comedy film every year. He further hinted that Ratsasan 2 may begin soon, depending on director Ram Kumar’s availability.
