Chennai, July 22:
DMK chief M. K. Stalin has strongly reiterated that abolishing the NEET is the only lasting solution to ongoing issues surrounding the exam.
In a recent statement, he emphasized that the test has consistently raised concerns over fairness and transparency.
The remarks come in the wake of protests across the country, particularly in Delhi, where students demonstrating against NEET faced police action. Political parties and student organizations in Tamil Nadu also staged protests condemning the crackdown and demanding accountability from the central government.
Stalin highlighted that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has opposed NEET from the beginning, arguing that it disadvantages many students and opens the door to irregularities. He stressed that continuous warnings about the exam’s impact have gone unaddressed.
According to Stalin, the growing protests reflect nationwide concern, and the demand to scrap NEET should be at the core of these movements. He concluded that only the complete abolition of the exam can provide a permanent and fair solution for students.
