Chennai, July 23:
The online application process for B.Ed admissions in Tamil Nadu for the 2026–27 academic year has officially concluded, bringing an end to the registration phase for thousands of aspiring teachers across the state. Admissions are being conducted for 21 government and government-aided Colleges of Education, offering a combined total of 2,040 seats.
The registration, which began on June 19, witnessed significant interest, with 5,900 candidates applying for the programme. Of these, 3,036 applicants successfully completed the process by paying the required application fee, making them eligible for the next stages of selection.
Officials have announced that the rank list will be released on July 31. Eligible candidates will then be allowed to select their preferred colleges between August 4 and August 10, a key phase in the admission process.
The seat allotment order is scheduled to be issued on August 14. Candidates can download their allotment details from the official website and complete admission formalities at their allotted institutions. Classes for first-year B.Ed students are set to commence on August 24, 2026.
