Chennai, July 25:
The Tamil Nadu government has urged citizens to submit applications for patta transfers only through the official e-Sevai system, clarifying that such requests will not be processed via the grievance redressal platform.
In a public advisory, the Mudhalvarin Mugavari department stated that applications for patta transfers and revenue certificates are accepted exclusively through the Tamil Nadu e-Sevai Portal and authorised e-Sevai centres across the State.
Officials emphasised that all such applications are processed only through the designated online revenue services system. Citizens have been advised to visit their nearest e-Sevai centre or apply directly through the official portal to ensure proper processing.
The government also called on applicants to verify their eligibility before applying for welfare schemes to avoid delays or rejection.
The clarification follows a surge in petitions seeking patta transfers through the Mudhalvarin Mugavari platform. Authorities reiterated that while the platform will continue to handle grievances related to public services, civic issues, and welfare schemes, patta-related requests must be routed only through the prescribed e-Sevai mechanism.
Citizens can continue to file grievances through multiple channels, including the 1100 toll-free helpline, the Chief Ministerās helpline portal, email, or by visiting grievance centres in person.
