In a major move to accelerate enterprise AI adoption, Databricks and Microsoft have announced the expansion of their long-standing strategic partnership, extending collaboration into the 2030s. The renewed alliance focuses on helping organisations build AI systems grounded in their own business data, while ensuring scalability, governance, and cost efficiency.
As part of the expanded agreement, Databricks will deepen its investment in Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem by running its core business operations and analytics on Azure Databricks. Additionally, Databricks will increase its adoption of Azure Cobalt—Microsoft’s next-generation Arm-based infrastructure—to boost performance and efficiency.
