Dhaka, July 29:
Bangladesh could be set for another leadership reshuffle in white-ball cricket, with reports suggesting Mehidy Hasan Miraz is likely to be replaced as ODI captain by Litton Das.
According to reports, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is expected to discuss the ODI captaincy during its board meeting on Tuesday, with Litton, who currently leads the national T20I side, emerging as the frontrunner for the role.
The move comes despite Bangladesh showing signs of progress under Miraz’s leadership. However, the team’s recent ODI series defeat to Zimbabwe, coupled with growing criticism of his captaincy, has reportedly prompted the board to reconsider its options.Bangladesh currently have three captains across the international formats.
