Chennai, July 30:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Wednesday handed over appointment orders to 78 candidates selected for prestigious Group 1 posts through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), marking a significant addition to the State’s administrative machinery.
The appointment orders were distributed at an official function held at the Secretariat, where the Chief Minister personally congratulated the successful candidates entering key government roles.
Among the 78 candidates appointed, 28 have been posted as Deputy Collectors, seven as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 19 as Assistant Commissioners of Commercial Taxes, 15 as Assistant Directors of Rural Development, three as District Employment Officers, and six as Assistant Commissioners of Labour.
These appointments are expected to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency across various departments in Tamil Nadu.
In addition to the Group 1 recruits, Chief Minister Vijay also handed over appointment orders to 48 candidates selected through the TNPSC Combined Technical Services Examination. These candidates will take up roles in technical and specialised departments within the State government.
The event was attended by Minister for Human Resources Management D Sarathkumar and Minister for Environment and Forests V K Rajeev, along with senior government officials.
The induction of these candidates is seen as a step toward bolstering public service delivery and enhancing the functioning of key administrative and technical sectors in the State.
