The makers of Karthi-starrer Sardar 2 have unveiled the teaser of the upcoming action thriller, offering a glimpse into a high-stakes world of espionage and intrigue. Directed by PS Mithran, the film is slated for a theatrical release on September 10. Building on the success of its predecessor, the teaser promises a gripping narrative packed with intense action and layered characters.
A sequel to the 2022 hit Sardar, the film expands the universe established in the original. The story, written by Rathna Kumar, Ashameera Aiyappan, and Vignesh Muniyandi, with screenplay by Nambi, delves deeper into themes of national security and covert operations. While the first installment focused on an agent trying to stop a plot targeting India’s water supply, Sardar 2 introduces SJ Suryah as the head of a powerful criminal organisation, setting up a compelling face-off with Karthi, who reprises his role in a dual performance.
