Chennnai, Aug 4:
As part of its continued focus on industrial growth and investment promotion, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Monday visited key manufacturing hubs industrial establishments in the Sriperumbudur-Oragadam industrial and manufacturing corridor.
During his visit, Vijay, accompanied by senior officials of the industrial department, reviewed industrial infrastructure, interacted with company officials and assessed measures aimed at attracting investments and creating more job opportunities.
Driving down 40 km from the city, the Chief Minister’s first halt was at Saint-Gobain India Private Limited’s World Glass Complex at Irungattukottai, one of the company’s major manufacturing facilities in India.
It was followed by a visit the SIPCOT project office at Mambakkam near Sriperumbudur, where he reviewed infrastructure and industrial development works in the region.
Later, Vijay will visit the Daimler Buses India manufacturing facility at Oragadam. and the Nissan automobile manufacturing plant near Sriperumbudur.
