Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has heaped praise on director Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film Dorothy, calling it his “boldest and best work so far.”
Taking to his Letterboxd profile, Kashyap described the film as “surprising and pleasantly shocking,” adding that its narrative is completely unpredictable and unlike anything audiences might expect.
The film stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular role and is set to have its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 25.
Music for Dorothy is composed by legendary maestro Ilaiyaraaja, marking yet another milestone in his illustrious career. The film also features actors Sananth and Rishikanth in key roles.
Backed by Karthik Subbaraj’s Dhammam Films along with Sikhya Entertainment and Jio Studios, Dorothy has already generated significant buzz ahead of its release, with Kashyap’s endorsement further raising expectations among cinema lovers.
