The second round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling for BE and BTech courses has seen 40,299 students receiving provisional allotment orders after accepting their allotted seats, while 10,648 candidates opting for upward movement have been issued tentative allotment orders.
Among those allotted seats, 6,914 students from government schools have secured provisional allotments, while 2,647 government-school students have received tentative allotments.
Students with provisional allotment orders have been directed to report to their respective colleges, whereas those with tentative allotments must visit the designated TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) listed in their choice preferences.
Candidates are required to submit original certificates and pay the prescribed tuition fees on or before August 13 to complete the admission process. Officials cautioned that failure to report or submit documents within the deadline would result in forfeiture of the allotted seats, which will then be reassigned to candidates awaiting upward movement.
Meanwhile, 28,979 students allotted seats in the special counselling and first round are already in the process of joining colleges. Applications for supplementary counselling for BE, BTech and BArch courses will be open from August 17 to 31, with the rank list to be released subsequently. Supplementary counselling is scheduled to be conducted from September 3 to 7.
