Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes on Independence Day as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
The campaign, launched by the Union Ministry of Culture in 2022, has seen large numbers of people hoisting the Tricolour at their homes every year.
In a video shared on Instagram, Modi appealed to people to participate enthusiastically in the campaign on August 15 and renew their collective commitment towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
He also noted that this year’s campaign is dedicated to ‘Vande Mataram’, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the iconic patriotic song. Modi called on people to hoist the national flag as a celebration of the country’s pride and unity.
