Actor Vaibhav’s upcoming film Maaruvesham is set to release worldwide in theatres on October 1, the makers announced on Wednesday. The film, billed as a murder mystery, marks Vaibhav’s 30th film as an actor and promises a story involving a murder, a puzzle and a hidden truth.
Written and directed by Srini, with additional screenplay by S Isaiamudan, Maaruvesham features Ramki, Viyana, George Maryan, Munishkanth, Livingston, Vivek Prasanna, Indhumathi, George V, Cell Murugan, Mu Ramasamy and Sebastian in supporting roles.
Vaibhav reportedly plays a police officer who joins the force driven by his interest in solving mysterious crimes. His routine posting takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a murder case that challenges his investigative instincts.
Rajkumar Amal has composed the music, with Balaji K Raja handling cinematography and NB Srikanth editing the film. Manikandan Srinivasan is the art director, while Dinesh Kasi and Ganesh have choreographed the stunt sequences.
Produced by Vijay Anand and Vaibhav under Oneiromancy Pictures and Monkey Man Company, Maaruvesham is set to face competition at the October 1 box office from Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa and Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, starring Nivin Pauly, Anjali and Soori.
