Chennai, Aug 18:
The Chennai Railway Division recorded a revenue of Rs 5,038 crore during 2025-26, marking a 9.26 per cent increase over the previous financial year, Divisional Railway Manager Sailendra Singh said.
The division has continued its strong performance in the current financial year, generating Rs 1,636.68 crore in revenue as of July 31, 2026.
Freight loading also increased by 6.20 per cent during 2025-26, contributing to the division’s overall revenue growth.
The latest figures reflect sustained growth in both passenger and freight-related earnings, strengthening the financial performance of the Chennai Railway Division.
