Chennai, Aug 24:
Services of 25 suburban electric trains on the Chennai–Chengalpattu section will be cancelled, partially cancelled or rescheduled from Tuesday (August 25) to September 7 due to redevelopment works at Egmore railway station, Chennai Railway Division officials said.
From August 25 to September 5, four Chennai Beach–Tambaram services scheduled at 10.20 pm, 11.20 pm, 11.40 pm and 11.59 pm will be cancelled on weekdays.
Several late-night services between Tirumalpur, Guduvanchery, Chengalpattu and Chennai Beach will also be partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Beach during the period.
The Chennai Beach–Guduvanchery service scheduled at 9.45 pm will depart at 9.50 pm, while the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu service scheduled at 10.20 pm will leave at 10.15 pm.
On Sundays between August 30 and September 6, four Beach–Tambaram services, two Tambaram–Beach services and one Tirumalpur–Beach service will be cancelled, while six other services will be modified.
