Pakistan and Iran have discussed possible measures to facilitate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and prevent further escalation of the conflict in West Asia, amid growing concerns over the strategic waterway’s impact on global trade and energy supplies.
The discussions focused on diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and restore normal movement through the strategically important maritime route.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important energy corridors, carrying a substantial share of global oil and gas shipments. Any prolonged disruption could have major consequences for energy prices, shipping and economies across Asia and beyond.
