Bajaj General Insurance has launched ‘My Family Complete’, which it describes as India’s first health insurance policy to include pet dogs and cats as insured family members.
The plan offers sum insured options from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 5 crore, with coverage for adults, children and pets. Benefits include hospitalisation, ambulance services, domiciliary care and unlimited reinstatement of the sum insured.
Pet-specific benefits include lost-pet advertising and rewards, emergency accommodation during the pet parent’s hospitalisation and third-party liability cover.
The policy also offers optional covers including global treatment, air ambulance, major illness and accident benefits, and long-term care for pets.
