Writer fame director Franklin Jacob has begun shooting his next film, produced jointly by Romeo Pictures’ Rahul and Aviate Pictures’ Gokul Srinivasan.
Veteran actor Prabhu and Vijay Varma play the lead roles, while Shivathmika Rajasekhar has been cast as the female lead. Producer Rahul will also appear in a key role.
The yet-to-be-titled film is described as a dark-humour thriller with a distinctive storyline and elements of comedy. The makers said the combination of experienced actor Prabhu and younger-generation performers is expected to offer audiences a fresh theatrical experience.
Actor Vikram Prabhu and director Adhik Ravichandran visited the sets on the first day of shooting and conveyed their wishes to the team.
The film also features Muthukumar, Ramesh Thilak, Dileep Subbarayan, Dheena, Arun Matheswaran, Kavitha Bharathi and Avinash Raghudevan.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music, with Pradeep Kaliraja handling cinematography and Prasanna G.K. editing. P.C. Stunts is in charge of action choreography, while Yugabharathi is writing the songs.
The film’s title and other details are expected to be announced officially soon.
