Pune, Sept 5:

IndianOil, in partnership with Venture Center and CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, co-hosted the Pune outreach of MC²+ IGNITE, an energy innovation accelerator, at CSIR-NCL.

The programme aims to support up to 30 deep-tech start-ups working across seven energy-transition themes, including hydrogen, mobility, bioenergy, AI and refinery technologies. Selected ventures will receive up to ₹50 lakh in convertible funding, with additional funding available at Demo Day.

IndianOil Chairman A. S. Sahney said the initiative would provide start-ups access to infrastructure, testing facilities, mentorship and market opportunities to help take promising technologies beyond the laboratory stage.

The event also saw the exchange of an MoU between the MC² Foundation and Venture Center, making the latter an on-ground MC² node.
