Chennai, Sept 11:
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) MLA Kanimozhi Santhosh has been appointed as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Subordinate Legislation.
Kanimozhi Santhosh represents the Kavundampalayam Assembly constituency and is a first-time MLA. She was elected in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on the TVK ticket.
The Committee on Subordinate Legislation examines whether the powers delegated by the Legislature to the government and other authorities are being properly exercised within the framework of the law.
Her appointment comes after the constitution of various Assembly committees for the current legislative term. Kanimozhi Santhosh’s inclusion gives her an opportunity to take part in the committee’s scrutiny of subordinate legislation and related government rules and regulations.
