Chennai, Sept 11:
The Tamil Nadu Government has issued a Government Order for establishing a new SIPCOT industrial estate across 422 acres in the Maduramangal area near Parandur in Kanchipuram district.
According to the project details, the proposed industrial estate is expected to attract investments of around ₹2,000 crore and create employment opportunities for approximately 5,000 people.
The industrial estate is expected to give a boost to industrial development in Kanchipuram district and encourage the setting up of new industries in and around the Parandur region.
The project is also expected to generate additional employment opportunities and support economic activity in the surrounding areas.
The move comes as Tamil Nadu continues to expand industrial infrastructure and develop new industrial locations outside the established industrial clusters in the State.
