Chennai, Sept 19:
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami will campaign for six days in the upcoming Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly bypolls, with three days of campaigning scheduled in each constituency.
Palaniswami will campaign in Madurantakam on September 24, 25 and October 3. His campaign in Dharapuram will be held on September 27, 28 and October 2. Details of the routes and programmes are expected to be announced by the party later.
The bypolls in the two constituencies are scheduled for October 6. AIADMK has fielded Kanitha Sampath in Madurantakam and K Bhanumathi in Dharapuram.
TVK has fielded former AIADMK MLAs K Maragatham Kumaravel in Madurantakam and P Sathyabama in Dharapuram. DMK candidates are E Parandhaman and Suganya respectively.
The contests are being held after the two constituencies fell vacant following the resignations of their former AIADMK MLAs.
