New Delhi, Sept 19:
Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has urged fans to support the country’s athletes as India’s campaign at the Asian Games 2026 gets underway in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
In a video message, Pant said he was excited to follow the Games and called on fans to get behind the Indian contingent regardless of the results.
The Asian Games officially begin on Saturday, with India competing across a wide range of disciplines. The Indian contingent includes athletes from established Olympic sports as well as newer disciplines making their Asian Games debut.
India’s early campaign has already produced a semifinal berth in women’s cricket, while teqball player Quimcy Dsouza has also reached the last four in the women’s singles event.
