The second schedule of Almost Nallavan, directed by Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 winner Raju Jeyamohan, has begun in Tenkasi. Produced by Passion Studios and Aspire Ubuntu Films, the film stars Raju Jeyamohan in the lead, along with Dushara Vijayan and Sathyaraj in important roles. The first schedule was completed in Chennai, while the current schedule is being filmed in locations including Mottai and Idintha Karai.
Described as a dark humour film, Almost Nallavan is being shot extensively in real locations instead of relying heavily on constructed sets. The makers said the mountains, forests, rain and surrounding environment will form an integral part of the film’s visual world. Local residents are also being involved in the shoot wherever the production travels, adding to its natural setting.
Raju Jeyamohan, who is making his directorial debut while also playing the lead, said the team wanted nature to become an important part of the story. Dushara Vijayan plays a challenging role, while Sathyaraj is said to appear in a new look. Raju has earlier worked as an assistant to directors K Bhagyaraj and Nelson Dilipkumar.
The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram for Passion Studios and H Vinoth for Aspire Ubuntu Films. The technical crew includes cinematographer T.S. Prasanna, editor Govind, art director Bala Jayapradha, composer Foxn, stunt choreographer Vicky, costume designer Ramya Shekar and VFX company Knack Studios.
