Nagoya,  Sept 23:

India will look to build on its gold-medal breakthrough as the Asian Games 2026 enters Day 4 in Aichi-Nagoya on Wednesday. The Indian contingent will compete across 102 events in 17 sports, with several medal prospects in action.
The Indian men’s badminton team, which has already assured itself of a medal after defeating Japan in the quarterfinals, will face China in the semifinal. Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, Ayush Shetty, Tharun Mannepalli and the doubles pair of Satwik and Chirag are part of the Indian squad.
Wushu star Roshibina Devi will take on Indonesia’s Thania Kusumaningtyas in the women’s 60kg Sanda semifinal. A victory would put Roshibina into the gold-medal contest, while a defeat would still leave her with a bronze medal.
The Indian women’s hockey team will also be looking to continue its winning run when it faces Thailand in a Pool B match. India have won their opening two games and will be aiming for another victory as the contingent targets a strong medal haul on Day 4.
