A relationship becomes stronger when both people continue choosing each other, says actor Ashok Selvan, describing his upcoming film Anbil Avan as a story of love tested by adversity.

Q: Why the long gap?
A: The break was not intentional. A film I worked on for nearly 100 days was dropped, while Anbil Avan itself took considerable time to complete.

A: It begins as a relationship drama and explores how adversity affects a couple before moving into thriller and action territory. The film is about love being put to the test.
Q: What did you learn about relationships?
A: I once thought conflicts in a marriage were always bad. Later, I understood that disagreements can sometimes be necessary and can show that people care. A relationship becomes stronger when both continue choosing each other.
Q: Why was the release postponed?
Ashok Selvan: Seven or eight films were releasing in the same week. We felt Anbil Avan deserved more breathing space, and the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2 offered a better release window.
Q: What can audiences expect?
A: It is the highest-budget film of my career, with an extensive technical team. The action is survival-oriented and mass while remaining rooted in the story. We have aimed to create a strong theatrical experience.
